The first and oldest LDS girl’s camp happens to be right here in Brighton, UT. Founded in 1921, it also has the distinction of being the longest running. In 1963 the camp was burned down by arsonists. The church rented one of the ski lodges at Alta so the camp could continue while they rebuilt. The camp continues to be active to this day with 14,000 young women between 12 and 14 years old attending each year.
